21 Savage Turns In To Atlanta PD

21 Savage turned himself in to Atlanta police on a warrant issued for his arrest.

Savage surrendered to police after finding out about the warrant, which was by a local magistrate, who claims that 21 threw out a bottle of codeine and also had a handgun in his car when he was stopped by Atlanta police back in January 2019.

Savage was held behind bars for a month after claiming Savage was in the U.S. illegally and held him on drug and weapons charges.

"The warrant appears to have been sought at the behest of ICE, as the warrant was issued in the eve of an Immigration Court hearing in Mr. Joseph’s deportation proceeding, and is based upon events that transpired on the evening that ICE arrested Mr. Joseph over 2 and one-half years ago. There can be no doubt that ICE is seeking to cover its own errors in detaining Mr. Jospeh by pushing trumped-up charges against him and seeks to stop him from obtaining lawful permanent residence in the United States.” 21's lawyer, Charles Kuck said.

Savage migrated to the U.S. with his mom when he was four-years old, but his Visa expired by the time he was 13.

"[21] will continue to fight for his right to seek permanent residence in the United States through the immigration court. We look forward to the day when ICE will play fairly with all those who seek justice within our immigration system.” Kuck continued.

Savage was released on bond, and is set to join J.Cole for his Off-Season Tour. September 24 in Miami is his next court hearing.
