NPR's Tiny Desk Concert Series did their big one in 2023! Most of my favorites come Black Music Month. In no particular order but if I'm being honest it's Juvenile and Mannie Fresh. After that it's like choosing a favorite child and I'm a good mother.
I fell in love with R&B because of Babyface! Bobby Brown may be the King of R&B but Babyface is the dictator...I mean this in the most gracious dictatorship possible.
In second grade I ended a friendship because she said she was going to marry Usher. I was supposed to marry Usher and I don't stay friends with women who want to steal my man. Anyway, I'm ready for the Usher Concert at the football game.
Before I heard his music I giggled at his antics on IG. Durand Bernarr is unforgettable with a voice as rich as his personality. Durand is a true performer and I confidently add him to my list.
While I mention him last don't get it twisted, Tank is a force and I will not be moved on the subject.
