Nicki Minaj is doing her part to help the people of Jamaica in the aftermath of Hurricane Melissa.

On Wednesday night, November 5, the seasoned rapper, who has roots in the Caribbean, reposted videos of her team handing out supplies to those in need on the island nation. You can see them handing out everything from packages of diapers to propane tanks to power grills. In her post, Minaj said her team plans to return with more items for a longer time.

"Plus tmrw & possibly longer," Minaj wrote. "One Love, Jamaica. Love you. 🇯🇲♥️

Nicki Minaj is one of several artists who have pledged their time and energy to helping those affected by the devastating hurricane. Last week, Sean Paul revealed that he was on the island when Hurricane Melissa hit and shared footage of the damage it caused on his property. He also promised to match donations up to $50,000 through his foundation and the non-profit organization, Food For The Poor Jamaica.

"I’m asking all my fans, friends, and supporters worldwide, if you can, please give what you can," he wrote. "Every donation counts, no matter how small. Together, we can make a big difference. And to show how much this means to me, I’ll be matching every dollar raised, up to fifty thousand dollars. Together, we can double the impact and help even more families get back on their feet."

Hurricane Melissa made landfall in Jamaica as a Category 5 storm with winds reaching 185 mph, which is the most powerful storm ever to strike the island. The Jamaican government has confirmed 28 deaths, with additional fatalities in Haiti and the Dominican Republic.
