Lil Wayne is previewing new music from his anticipated album to fuel hype for the NBA Finals.

On Thursday, June 5, ESPN debuted its new ad for Game 1 of the NBA Finals. In the brief clip, you can hear Weezy's new song "The Days" featuring Bono in the background of a montage of the Indiana Pacers and the Oklahoma City Thunder from the playoffs.

"I pledge allegiance to what I believe in/Live to fight another day, but yesterday beat me," Weezy raps. "Well, I ain't gettin' younger, but I'm gettin' better/Got no time to waste, that's another man's cheddar/They say every dog has his day."

“Basketball's been in my blood since day one so to team up with ESPN less than 24 hours before the drop of ‘Tha Carter VI’ for the NBA Finals is an incredible honor,” Wayne said in a statement. “My music and the NBA are vibin’ on the same frequency because it’s perfect timing for fans to hear ‘Tha Carter VI’ on the game’s grandest stage.”

"The Days" will play during the broadcast of Game 1, which goes down tonight at 8:30 p.m. on ABC. The song comes straight off Lil Wayne's upcoming album Tha Carter VI. The album consists of brand-new music from Weezy, including rare collaborations with MGK, Elephant Man, Miley Cyrus, Andrea Bochelli, his sons Kameron & Lil Novi, Wyclef Jean, and more.

“Lil Wayne brings the energy, edge, and emotion that define the NBA Finals,” Curtis Friends, Vice President of Sports Marketing at ESPN said. “Integrating his music into our NBA Playoffs coverage has been a strategic brand flex – amplifying our storytelling and connecting with fans as we showcase today’s rising stars on the league’s biggest stage.”

Lil Wayne's new album Tha Carter VI drops this Friday, June 6.
