Ab-Soul plans to close out 2024 with his most sentimental album yet.

The TDE signee announced his sixth studio album in a minute-long trailer he posted to social media on Thursday, October 17. In it, Soulo pays homage to his late friend Doe Burger by including pivotal scenes from their longstanding friendship. He also revisits scenes from his harrowing past that made him into the resilient man he is today.

"I'm glad your ass was in a cast and not in a casket/You could've died but you survived now get your cash b***h," Doe Burger raps to Soul in the trailer.

The aforementioned bars refer to Ab-Soul's previous suicide attempt. The 37-year-old rapper opened up about his mental health struggles in 2022 before he dropped his last album Herbert. In a conversation with Charlamagne Tha God, Soul explained how his addiction to vaping pushed him over the edge. He tried to take his own life by jumping from a freeway in his hometown of Carson, Calif. He survived the incident after a car broke his fall, but he could barely walk.

“I lost my teeth,” he said. “My jaw’s f**ked up, I got a lot of work to do still. My foot is completely reconstructed all the way to my pelvis. Everything but my knee. It doesn’t even make sense that my knee wasn’t affected. My femur, everything was affected except my knee."

Soulo dropped the trailer nearly a week after he shared the album's first single "Squeeze 1St 2." He plans to drop his next track "All That" featuring JasonMartin f.k.a Problem & Thirsty P later tonight.

Look out for Soul Burger dropping November 8.
